Beaver Bay is a larger campground on Yale Lake in Cougar, WA on the majestic Lewis River Waterways. The campground has 63 developed sites, a 15 site group camp, a day use area, and full size boat ramp.
Within a half day of Vancouver or Portland, Beaver Bay Campground offers shaded campsites and a cool lake breeze with perfect summer nights.
We had the pleasure of hosting at this campground for a couple of months this past summer, 2018. It is one of the larger campgrounds and the boat ramp is full sized and stays open most of the summer, even when water levels are lower. There are plenty of oversized pull through spots for large Class A or 5th Wheels and truly lovely lakefront spots the length of the campground.
Along with boating, fishing, and swimming, the campground is a dedicated wetland area with an accessible boardwalk to take a stroll. Those looking for a more challenging hike can access old logging roads, river trails, and the big one, Mount Saint Helens. We highly recommend learning more about those hiking permits through this resource site.
